October 26, 2019 marked the KLAP 8th Annual Men’s Volleyball and Women’s Throw ball Tournament. Thank you to everyone who helped in making our event a huge success!
Throughout the years, we have had so many wonderful volunteers who have helped us along the way. These volunteers would always lend a hand in any way they could, always with a smile on their face. We could never run this tournament without you.
Thank you to all of the people, who every year, gave monetary donations. Also, thank you to our corporate sponsors and partner sponsors. We thank you all for your support year after year. You always gave without hesitation. In supporting us, you helped to make a difference in the lives of so many.

We must also thank the many young volleyball players and women volleyball players. That leads the encouragement for next generation.
We also realize that this would never have been possible with the support of so many caring individuals.
Lastly, there are no words for the love and gratitude we have for The Friends of KLAP committee. They are such amazing friends who knew and loved KLAP. This tournament would never have been possible without them.

In total over 20 Men’s Volleyball and 10 Women’s throw ball teams participated in this event, involving more than 250 players. The Meadowbrook indoor facility was packed with well-prepared players and enthusiastic supporters and fans. The tournament started from 12:30 pm and went throughout the day until 9:30 pm.
In the 1st round, the games were round-robin format and top 2 teams in each group advanced into the quarter finals. Women’s Throwball participated teams are Detroit Champs,Royal thunders,Royal Crushers,NEW YORK SMASHERS,The Rockers,Royal Challengers,Ellicott Eagles,Richmond Panthers,Cary fly girls,PSC Rockers. Women’s teams came from Michigan, North Carolina, Pensilvania, Virginia, Maryland and New York states.
Men’s volleyball participated teams are First Pass,Clarksburg Super Kings (CSK),PSC Rockers,Harrisburg STRIKERS,Team STRIVE,Smashers,Ellicott Chargers 1,Ellicott Chargers 2,RVA Blockbusters,EZPass,Washington Kings,Y2K Academy,PSC Raiders,KLAP,Virginia Strickers,Warriors,NY Spikers,Punjab Strikers,McLean Mavericks,Ellicott Chargers 3 . Most of the matches were very closely contested. The audience enjoyed several nail biting matches. In all the matches players exhibited their skills and style with huge spikes and returns resulting in long rallies.
Tournament Organizers thanked all the teams for their participation and continued support in organizing this successful tournament.
Speaking on the occasion KLAP sponsors said they are extremely happy with the response and congratulated all the players for their dedication and playing the sport with right spirit.
Tournament Committee thanked Organizers and volunteers for their support and efforts in organizing the tournament and ensuring all matches were conducted on time.
